Found the easiest tutorial to slice up any sample you bring into FL Studio…..just right click on the sample in your file browser and select edit……BRILLIANT….then assign your slices to a controller of your choice and chops it ups!

So this Is a list of “my” top albums of 2007 which is actually in order unlike my other 2007 lists.
1. Radiohead - In Rainbows
2. Band Of Horses - Cease To Begin
3. Pinback - Autumn Of The Seraphs
4. Justice - Cross
5. Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Runner Up - Blockhead - Uncle Tony’s Coloring Book
Choosing Radiohead for the #1 spot is a little old and trite at this point, but this album isn’t. I could have chose LCD Soundsystem’s “Sound Of Silver”, would I be any better off then? Not only is this a great album, but the fact that it was offered free (or donation) was a great move from the band. I am interested to see more bands try this in the future.
Being a Seattle native I had already heard of “Band Of Horses” before their “Cease To Begin” release this year (look into Carissa’s Weird). This album is a great follow-up to their last release. I’m not going to wax poetic and use words like, melodic, organic, etc, but yeah, It’s a great album. Listen
“Autumn of the Seraphs” doesn’t stand up to “Blue Screen Life” personally, but that doesn’t mean anything at all. It’s not in any way better or worse than any previous Pinback albums. It is, in essence, the Pinback sound. Seeing Pinback live helped to solidify this album in my regular rotational listening.
Justice’s Cross will make you grind your teeth while you dance! I can’t really explain it any better. Raw, gritty, dirty, dirty!
Thanks to my friend I was lucky to hear about this flamenco, post hard-rock duo. They sizzle up the strings with hand-blistering riffs and soothing bridges.
Blockhead dropped a new solo album in 2007 that almost inched into my top 5 but I was too far on my indie/rock tip to get into this one. This is a great album to bump in the hoopty or listen while at work. The way Blockhead interweaves multiple samples and synths is both impressive and nonchalant. Being a great producer for various hip-hop artist, Blockhead does well to shine on his own.
